Mary Janes Farm Magazine

There are those moments in life when you find something that peaks your interest. They come at the most unexpected times. For me, it was in the bookstore the other day when I was just browsing for a new magazine. There it was like a shiny beacon of light just for me. Mary Janes Farm magazine. A magazine by women, for women who care! I have enjoyed every page and have become a regular subscriber.

This edition was chocked full of products and ideas that promote organic living. The ideas were colorful, interesting and most of all practical.

From the letters to us page: "My favorite weather is bird-chirping weather." - Loire Hartwould.

This is a well written, thoughtful magazine with heart and you must not miss a single issue!

"Being a farmgirl is more about a girl's heart than a girl's farm. It's a desire for the simple things in life. Freedom that fortifies. "Coming down" to Earth. Getting back to the basics. It is love and delight in daily, ordinary living. We bow in gratitude and bend in flexibility.

Here's the thing... You don't have to live on a farm to be a farmgirl. Look to your heart. Do you define yourself by something other than what you own? Do you volunteer for your community? Look up at the stars? Carry a cloth bag to the market? Wiggle your toes in the grass? Seek fresh air? Strive to eat more organically and more locally? Repurpose things? Get your kids out in nature? Cherish the Earth's resources? Get involved? Dream about and work towards a better world? Then you're one of us, sister. No matter where you live. No matter what you have. No matter where you find solace." - Rebekah Teal.
